Panji Andrian : April 2020 Take Over

This month we are interviewing our monthly take over of April 2020 @panjooolart

1. Tell us more about yourself and the work you do?

Hi! I am Panji Andrian, from Indonesia, 32 years old. a father of two sons, and I'm a freelance digital artist.

2. How were you inspired to pursue this kind of career? 

I started as a hobby artist in 2017, had never thought of a career in the digital art world, and in mid-2018 I began my career as a digital artist and worked professionally, and my family was the main influence why I started this career.

3. Can you tell us what style of art you do and how you developed your own style?

My art varies, because I like learning new things and trying things that I have never done, but I like working with scene art, landscape / mattepainting, conceptart, and I like Fantasy themes, history, etc. To develop my art, I learned many things from photomanipulation, digital drawing and painting, photobash, mattepainting,conceptart, and mixing them in my art.

4. Can you name an artist/s that you look up to? How have they influenced you?

I have many names of influential artists in my art, and they are my fellow artists, and my friends, @erikshoemaker, @digitalrowye, @daniela_owergoor_art, @jaygraphixx, @artwesleysouza, and they are not only influential in my art, but they also always support and inspire me in art.

5. What is your typical daily routine like?

Besides being a digital artist, I also work in a shop, (nothing special) XD

6. How do you go about creating a piece? Can you share with us your creative process?

With a pleasure. I always start with concepts (ideas) and references, then start sketching. then, adjust the composition, color and lighting that I want, then mix in some of the techniques I learned and also my experience.

7. Do you get creative blocks from time to time? How do you overcome it? What advice can you share to overcome it?

I always have it all the time, but I overcome it by following challenges (contests).

8. What are the things you do to get inspired? What are your typical movies, music, 

activities, etc. ?
My inspiration  comes from works of art , and there are many names of artists who inspire me,and many of them are my favorite artists too.

9. Which of your works is your favorite? Can you describe it to us and why it is special?

My favorite work is titled "RIse of the King" is not very clear how I explain why this is my favorite, but I learned a lot of new things about perspective, depth, and colors in here and it change my art.

10. What is your fututure goals/plans?

For my goal in the future is I can not confirm it, all I can be sure is that I will continue to work and practice. and maybe a better life for my little family :).

11. Do you have any favourite mantra that gives you any type of motivation or can give others inspiration?

No i don't have it XD, but I always think of doing art for my family and myself.
